This documentary gives a modern take on the revolutionary game-changer, Malcolm X, through the eyes of today’s America. Viewers join in on a road trip from the nation’s capital to the headquarters of the voting rights struggle, Alabama, with Malcolm X co-worker, journalist and lecturer, A. Peter Bailey. The journey takes us through the countryside to meet friends and family of Brother Malcolm, and fascinating front-line veterans of the war for civil rights. We’ll draw the curtain on public perception of Malcolm X, to show the real man through personal stories from those who knew him. While retrieving treasures from history, this documentary brings the story of Malcolm X to present day and demonstrates how his influence continues to shoot forward through the interest of today’s youth and initiatives currently in place. Malcolm X once said, “So early in my life, I had learned that if you want something, you had better make some noise.” That he did. And even today, it resonates.
