THE ORGANIZER follows Wade Rathke, the controversial founder of ACORN, and explores the much maligned and misunderstood occupation of community organizing. Rathke founded the organization in 1970, and shepherded its growth into a national political powerhouse. Internal conflict and external pressures would lead to its tragic downfall, but undeterred Rathke continues to build new organizations around the world.
