Sayers and Doers

SAYERS & DOERS is a cultural talk series, in Harlem, featuring experts – authors, artists, academics, adventurers, comics, musicians, journalists, chefs, bartenders and designers – sharing their passion projects. Awarded a 2018 “Awesome Without Borders” grant, the program is designed to educate, entertain and inspire: four or more experts, from various industries and backgrounds, speak for up to 12 minutes each, to present an evening of conviviality, networking and intellectual cabaret. Past speakers have included 2017 National Book Award winner Masha Gessen and finalist, Min Jin Lee, author of Pachinko; chief film critic, A.O. Scott of The New York Times; academic Brittney Cooper; David Ebershoff and Andre Aciman, authors of The Danish Girl and Call Me By Your Name, respectively; and emergent Harlem poet, Chloë Mitchell.  @sayersdoers
