Taghreed Elsanhouri, 2011-2020, 71 min.
This powerful documentary follows the trajectory of Sudan, from its birth in 1956 to its transmutation into two separate states in 2011. The film interweaves this very public story, featuring interviews with key political figures, with a very private one: the plight of a mixed-race Sudanese family caught across the divide as it tries to make sense of a big historical moment.
