Centro Civico Cultural Dominicano presents the 18th Annual West 145th Street Arts, Crafts & Health Fair

Join MDC alongside many other Harlem cultural organizations for a day of poetry, music, storytelling, arts, and crafts! We will be tabling with our friends at the XFR Collective in Brooklyn talking about home movie archiving, selling merch, and distributing Home To Harlem zines.

The mission of Centro Civico Cultural Dominicano (CCCD) is to enrich and empower youth and adults through arts and culture by making key services available to the community. These services are meant to provide the community with political, professional, educational, and cultural tools, with the objective of demanding a more active role in the empowerment of the Dominican and Hispanic community.

XFR Collective partners with artists, activists, and community organizations to lower the barriers to preserving at-risk audiovisual media – especially unseen, unheard, or marginalized works – through digitization, screenings, educational workshops, and pop-up events. Operating through a non-hierarchical model, we work to create an inclusive environment in which to explore practical methods for media preservation, archiving, and access.
