Ana Nogueira and Eron Davidson, 2023, 93 min.
In 1948, the violent systems of displacement and segregation were enforced by Afrikaners in South Africa, and by Zionists through the creation of Israel in Palestine. In both countries Black South Africans and Palestinians were subject to a slew of laws that severely restricted their capacity for self-determination and both have been forced to live in systems that deny their basic human rights.
ROADMAP TO APARTHEID is an investigation into the apartheid anaolgy—its benefits as well as its limitations—tracing the future of one conflict from the past of another.
Post-screening discussion with Seeds of Liberation!
